Default Any graphical UI editors out there (NOT sidlwidl/sidlfiddle)

Just wondering if there were any working UI editors floating around out there ?

not really, but there are rumors of SOE sending one out with or after the OoW expansion.. till then you gotta picture stuff in your head if you don't use one of those two editors.

Sounds like a carrot to me

BTW, EQ makes a really good UI display... make a level 1 char so no-one knows you're online, load up EQ in a window, and go to town modding your UI and reloading until it's right.

A lil memory intense, but it works

I do a little bit of this across my network. I work on the UI on my notebook and /loadskin on my desktop. That works much better so you don't have to switch windows. I know this isn't an option for most though.

That's a good point and it's HUGELY annoying! In fact I lost a Hammer of Corrupted Enchantments yesterday because mine crashed when I was making changes to the container mods for the Augment container!

I was using my hammer to take in and out of the container after I reloaded, to make the buttons & messages change, and it was on my cursor when I reloaded and *POW* crash. When I got back, no more hammer

I heard if you zone after every few reloads it won't crash.

I dunno... I'm off to wait on my petition

Default concerning crashes

From what I can tell its a memory problem not exactly the amount but how its used. When you keep loading screens even if its the same one EQ loads all the graphics one more time so after a while the memory hog gets to big and boom . If you cut all you high textures off and memory usage down it gives a few more reloads . But zoneing may help by slushing all the loaded graphics and starting over with a fresh load (not sure but sounds good ). I have also found that window mode (alt-enter) seems to give an extra load but it may be just me.

If EQ would give an off-line screen engine like Shadow Bane had (sp?) it would keep people from wasting server time by having 5 or 6 extra non-used characters on diferent servers and let people test high level mod windows (agments, ToT, and melee actions) not to mention seting screen sizes for borders.

Just my two cents worth

PS can not wait for launch pad to come to EQ hopefully it will let you pick your character at launch make for faster loading in my opinion
