Angry Can't get Quartz 1.9.2 UI to Load

I can't get the Quartz 1.9.2 UI to load at all I have tried everything I could find posted in the Forums here and nothing works at all except to remove the added hot buttons that the new default UI added, I have checked in my UIerrors.txt file and there is nothing in there at all newer then 2003, if it helps this is a fresh install of EQ Using the EQ Titanium Disks. In fact I can't even see any folders in the loadskin window but the default and the default_old folders the Quartz folder I added does not even show up in that window.

Any help would be aprecated.

Your UIErrors.txt file in the everquest directory is dated 2003?

That's unusual -- Have you had Everquest installed before? If so, it's possible that Titanium installed into a different directory.

Some possible locations are:

C:\Program Files\Everquest (not likely anymore)
C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest
C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Everquest

Check for another everquest installation. If you find one, try putting the Quartz folder into the uifiles directory there.

the reason I had the uierror.txt file dated 2003 is because I reloaded fresh from the titinum set so i had all the current packs I was short a few and didn't feel like ordering them seperately as the cost would have been to much and just copied my files over from my backup I made, and no this is the only install I have of EQ on my system, I have been playing EQ since Jan 2000, and the Quartz UI I have been using I had been updating all the time from you since you (DarkSir23) took it over and it worked fine untill the PoR patch then not only can't I get it to work after trying all the fixes you have all posted but I can't get any of the custom UI folders I put it in to show up in my load UI window in EQ to show up it only lists the default and the default_old folders.

If anyone can help I would be greatful because I love the Quartz UI and have been using it since custom UI's have been in use.

Thanks

Ok, but doing that SHOULD have generated a new uierrors.txt file. If the one in your everquest directory hasn't changed, do a system search for it.

I can't think of any reason why it would, but it can't hurt to check...

Try deleting the UIErrors.txt file and then go into EQ and try to load up the UI and look for the file. Nothing will show up in EQ unless its a Syntax error in the code.

Also, yeah, depending on your version of EQ that you installed from, it will sometimes place two instances of EQ into your computer. So as mentioned above, please do check to make sure you don't have two :-)

Is that from a clean install of Quartz?

If not, clear the quartz directory, and reinstall quartz. If you still get the error, do you have a default_old directory in the uifiles directory?

Default I did

I had the default_old directory, I think I am going to get rid of all the UI files and start fresh.

It was from a fresh install, but I also had about 8 different Quartz directory's.
